BOGE-employee honored for exceptional performance

Damme/Simmern, September 8, 2017. Daniel Nickel from the automotive supplier BOGE Rubber & Plastics has been conferred the award "outstanding employee". China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation Ltd. (CRRC), the parent company of BOGE Rubber & Plastics, honored 58 employees for their outstanding performance. Among these were also two people from Europe and 56 from China of a global headcount of about 180,000 employees. The 31-year-old certified industrial mechanic and master precision mechanic was the only employee from BOGE Rubber & Plastics, who has been given this honor. The ceremony in the course of which the award, a certificate and an appreciation bonus were presented, took place in the presence of an eleven-member delegation of CRRC, the CEO of BOGE Rubber & Plastics, Dr. Torsten Bremer, and the plant manager of Simmern/Hunsrück plant Ingo Happe, at the BOGE headquarters in Damme.

Mr. Wei Qiu, Vice General Manager of CRRC, appreciated the achievements of Daniel Nickel in his laudation. This includes the rollout of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and the continuous improvement process (CIP) in production. Both are methods to improve the effectiveness in production. Daniel Nickel particularly focuses on the further development of the production staff regarding maintenance, repair and continuous improvement. TPM and CIP are part of BOGE's "Flexible Lean Organization Worldwide" (FLOW) production system.
Daniel Nickel as a production employee is also a member of the project management team for the implementation of the production management system Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Dr. Torsten Bremer, CEO of BOGE Rubber & Plastics, emphasized that the high qualification level, the special performance and the particular individual commitment of the employee have been the decisive factor for giving the award. We are particularly proud the CEO continued that this award has been given to one of our employees, all the more since only two employees received the awards who were not employed in the home country of the large parent company. He said that this would also entail a high recognition of the technological expertise of the entire BOGE Rubber & Plastics Group.

Daniel Nickel joined BOGE Rubber & Plastics Simmern plant in 2003 and started with a professional training as an industrial mechanic in the field of machine and systems engineering. From 2007 to 2015 he worked in the maintenance department. From 2012 to 2013, he continued his further professional training as a master precision mechanic on a part-time-basis. Since 2016 he has been working as a service technician in production at Simmern plant.
