CEO of BOGE Rubber & Plastics at the Brazilian Minister of Transport

Market opportunities for infrastructure projects

Damme, Brasilia. The development of infrastructure in Brazil was a central topic of the visit of Dr. Torsten Bremer, CEO of BOGE Rubber & Plastics, and Dr. Jun Yang, CEO of the Chinese Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (TMT), at the Brazilian Minister of Transport  Maurício Quintella Lessa in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, at the beginning of this month.

Among the major planned infrastructure projects in the area of rail transport are the construction or the fundamental renewal of three long-distance routes for freight transport as well as the construction of eleven new metro lines. During the talks with the Brazilian Minister of Transport, they discussed which market opportunities will arise in the future for the automotive supplier BOGE Rubber & Plastics as well as for TMT and the parent company of TMT, China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation Ltd. (CRRC), the world's largest manufacturer of rail vehicles and rail industry accessories, in connection with the considerable investments in infrastructure.  BOGE Rubber & Plastics and TMT are also evaluating an expansion of the local production program of BOGE Rubber & Plastics at the Brazilian Sorocaba location. In addition, opportunities are being analyzed to expand the local presence in Brazil outside the automotive sector by the acquisition of companies.

Both sides agreed to continue the dialogue at the working and project level. "We will continue to maintain a constructive dialogue with the Brazilian Ministry of Transport, and we are confident that we will find solutions to generate our own added value in the context of infrastructure projects," emphasized Dr. Torsten Bremer.
