Global market leader for rail vehicles visiting BOGE: “Major Event in Damme”

 

Damme. Great welcome in Damme: A high-ranking 13-person delegation of one of the world's largest manufacturers of rail vehicles and rail industry accessories visited Damme. The BOGE Rubber & Plastics Group represented by the CEO, Dr Torsten Bremer hosted the event and gave a warm welcome to the Chinese industrial group China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation Ltd., first and foremost, the CRRC-President Mr. Guohua Xi and the management team of CRRC. Gerd Muhle, Mayor of the town of Damme, and Roland Zerhusen, Chairman of the small and medium-size Business and Trade Association Damme (MIT) also participated in the meeting.

CRRC is the parent company of Times New Material Technology Co., Limited (TMT) which has owned the automotive supplier BOGE Rubber & Plastics, headquartered in Damme, since September 2014.  TMT is the leading provider of NVH products and polymer composite materials for rail vehicles and other industries.  

The German-Chinese summit meeting in Damme was characterized by great mutual trust. BOGE Rubber & Plastics has been taken over by this new Chinese owner 19 months ago.  Both sides agreed that the integration of BOGE in the CRRC group, which counts more than 190,000 employees, has already been made significant progress.  

While CRRC gets even better access to international markets through the new family member BOGE, additional growth opportunities open up for BOGE in the Chinese automobile market which for several years has been the world's largest and fastest growing market.

CRRC President Mr. Guohua Xi and CEO Dr Torsten Bremer stressed that the leadership in technology and innovation is a cornerstones to further strengthen development expertise and competitiveness of BOGE. "No future without innovation”, the heads of both companies emphasized unanimously. The support of the strategic development perspectives of BOGE by the new shareholder was again valued highly and positively.   This has been demonstrated at least by the record level of investments in the BOGE Rubber & Plastics Group worldwide, but also explicitly in the Damme location.

Representatives of CRRC visited during their stay in Germany also the BOGE locations in Bonn and Simmern (Rhineland-Palatinate).
