Damme/Wolfsburg. The BOGE Rubber & Plastics Group, a globally leading supplier of vibration control technology and plastic solutions in the automotive industry will present itself for the first time under the new corporate umbrella at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB), which will take place from 18th to 20th October in Wolfsburg. 'The fair is a great opportunity for us to introduce our innovative solutions to the automotive industry. As a company with headquarters in Lower Saxony, we also want to wave our flag in the automotive land of Lower Saxony", emphasizes Dr. Torsten Bremer, CEO of the BOGE Rubber & Plastics Group.
In close cooperation with the international automobile manufacturers, BOGE Rubber & Plastics develops and manufactures solutions for comfort and safety in the chassis and drivetrains of vehicles of all types. In addition, it also makes a significant contribution to the lightweight construction of modern vehicles with sophisticated plastic components and modules. The company based in Damme will provide an overview of the product portfolio of the sectors NVH car chassis, NVH powertrains and plastics at the IZB. NVH stands for 'Noise, Vibration, Harshness', i.e. the undesirable interference effects of noise, vibrations and roughness.
NVH car chassis
BOGE Rubber & Plastics is the world's largest manufacturer of hydraulic damping chassis mounts and develops innovative and complete elastokinetic chassis solutions. The high quality and durable products reduce vibrations that occur, for example, when cornering, braking or on uneven road surfaces. They offer optimum vibration damping and noise insulation for all vehicle types and provide more stability, safety and driving comfort.
The development focus in the field of NVH powertrains is on both the longitudinal installation of the unit (motor mounts, transmission mounts, differential mounts, transmission cross beam) as well as the transverse installation of the unit (plastic engine mounts, transmission mounts and plastic torque roll restrictor). The engine and transmission mounts prevent vibration being transmitted from the drivetrain, and thus improving acoustics performance and driving comfort. Switchable or active engine mounts assits to reduce consumption, for example, in relation to engine downsizing, cylinder cutoff or a start-stop function. The vehicle weight and therefore fuel consumption is also reduced through the increasing use of lightweight materials.
The best-in-class thermoplastics precision components and moduls demonstrate that conventional materials can be substituted by alternatives. Costs and weight are therefore reduced, and maximum reliability is ensured. The development focus lies in the driver control systems on pedal modules, airbag housings and gearshift components as well as in the area of chassis and powertrains on motor and transmission oilpans, powertrain suspension mounts and oil reservoirs.
First trade fair presence in Europe
The trade fair appearance of BOGE Rubber & Plastics is integrated into the joint stand 'Automotive Nord' [automotive north] with a total of 16 exhibitors. It is an initiative of ITS Automotive Nord, Autos – Automotive-Netzwerk [automotive north, cars - automotive network] in the region of Osnabrück and Automotive Nordwest [automotive northwest]. The first participation at the IZB also means for BOGE Rubber & Plastics that the company is being presented in Europe at a larger exhibition for the first time.
BOGE Rubber & Plastics was founded two years ago from the 'plastic & rubber' business segment of ZF Friedrichshafen AG. The subsequent owner is the Chinese Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (TMT). TMT is a subsidiary of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation Ltd. (CRRC). The group employs approximately 180,000 employees.
Experts from the departments Plastic and Rubber from BOGE Rubber & Plastics will inform visitorsat the booth (Hall 2, 2202). In addition, recruiters from BOGE will answer questions about career opportunities with regards to the IZB job market on 20th October.
The IZB is aimed at suppliers of the automotive industry. The high quality of the exhibitors and the number of decision-makers among the trade visitors make the exhibition an important innovation, communication and business platform for the sector.
More than 800 exhibitors from over 30 nations will be represented. Around 50,000 visitors are expected. The special theme of the bi-annual trade fair this year is the 'digitization of mobility'.
