Damme/Bonn. Ertugrul Baydan, a student of mechanical engineering completing a dual study program at the Bonn location of the worldwide operating automotive supplier BOGE Rubber & Plastics, has been awarded a scholarship. The mechanical engineering student of a dual study program is currently completing his internship semester in the development department. He has already successfully completed his skilled worker examination to become a technical product designer (part of his dual study program).
The Scholarship awarded by the National Scholarship Program provides targeted support for particularly talented people studying at a German university. In addition to outstanding academic performance at school and university, other factors are taken into account in the selection process, such as willingness to take on responsibility and show commitment.
In the 2021 funding period, 100 outstanding students at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences will receive 300 euros per month for one year as part of the Scholarship awarded by the National Scholarship Program. All scholarship recipients will receive a total of 360,000 euros over the entire period, half of which will be provided by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), while the university has been able to raise the other half from private sponsors. The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences is a German university of applied sciences with around 9,500 students and 150 professors.
